Cross Channel Marketing
INTRODUCTION:
Blacktop Branding was recently selected by Piston Driven Manufacturing to help them promote their new product SpeedPanels. SpeedPanels compliment Piston Driven Manufacturing’s SpeedStrap brand, adding great value to the UTV sport experience. Their new state-of-the-art door panels feature a formed ABS back panel that fits within the structure of the Polaris RZR 2 and 4 door vehicles. This feature adds strength AND capacity for the three-pocket design. The handy padded top cell phone pocket and the main large pocket feature flapped, zippered closures. The inside is fleece lined and features a mesh inner-pocket. SpeedPanels also feature a comfortable thick knee pad. Comfort and convenience finished in auto/marine grade vinyl in three textures. The stylish designs are made in America with OEM quality and function. SpeedPanels install in minutes and feature a no-tools required push in design. No adhesives, no drilling and no velcro. PROJECT SCOPE:
- Brand Design – Created the product logo with design influences from previous products
- Photography/Videography – Assets of the product, installation and use
- Advertising Design – Two-page double truck digital ad with video asset
- Marketing Collateral – Two page flyer handout for events
- Website Landing Page Design – Call to action led to the website which was built in WordPress and Shopify
- Press Release – Create and distribute new product press release – CLICK TO VIEW
Blacktop Branding was tasked to shoot the product in both still and video, create a sizzle reel and an installation video. From the photoshoot we designed a double-truck digital magazine ad utilizing the video asset. The deadline of the project was determined by the publisher and we finished the project 2 days ahead of schedule completing the project in only 9 days. This included developing three different themes for the client to choose direction and two rounds of revisions.
We added a bonus feature to the scope by creating a press release and distributing it within our channels and to our vast editorial contacts.
The collateral has a directive to visit the website and Blacktop Branding was asked to increase the scope to include a landing page on their WordPress/OpenCart ecommerce website, and create a 2 page flyer for distribution at a recent tradeshow.
RESULTS:

The campaign created interest from several new dealers and captured robust sales during the off-season.
